WoW Forever FAQ

“What is WoW Forever?“

Blizzard’s expanded take on original-era Azeroth — new content built on the vanilla foundation. Not a straight recreation, not a Classic server. See What Is WoW Forever.

“When does it release?“

November 4, 2026.

“When’s the beta?“

The beta runs from September 17 – October 21, 2026.

“How do I get into the beta?“

Skyborne Epic Pack or the Warcraft Forever Collection. The Heroic Pack doesn’t include it. Full pricing on our [Everything We Know](#) page.

“Is it free?“

Included with a subscription or Game Time — no separate purchase needed.

“Is it a new expansion?“

No. It’s a separate WoW experience running alongside Modern WoW and Classic, not replacing either.

“What’s the level cap?“

60.

“What is the Skyborne?“

Forever’s new playable race, joinable from either faction, with a dedicated starting zone on Zephras Isle. Full details in our Skyborne Guide.

“How much new content is there?“

1,000+ quests, 9 dungeons, 2 raids, 3 new zones.

“Are there new race/class combos?“

Yes — Dwarf Shaman and Undead Paladin are confirmed so far, with more expected to surface during beta.

“Will there be PvP or Hardcore?“

Both are part of the broader WoW experience, but Forever-specific details haven’t been laid out yet.

“Will Forever replace Classic?“

No — they’re aimed at different things. See Forever vs Classic.

“Can I play with friends?“

Yes, it’s a standard multiplayer WoW experience with dungeons, raids and grouping. Some upgrade packages also include Invite-a-Friend codes.

“When can I reserve a character name?“

October 27 – November 3, 2026, up to three names per eligible account.
