WoW Forever Beta Guide

The beta runs **September 17 – October 21, 2026** and is the first real chance to see how Forever plays, rather than just how it’s been announced. Access requires the Skyborne Epic Pack or Warcraft Forever Collection — see Everything We Know for pricing.

Before You Start

Decide what you actually want to get out of it instead of just logging in and levelling on autopilot. Worth having a mental checklist of what to pay attention to: character creation, new zones, professions, dungeons, PvP, UI.

What to Test First

Play the early game normally before rushing toward endgame. Pay attention to how the starting experience feels, quest and enemy design, levelling pace, gear and ability progression, and anything that’s changed in zones you already know from Classic.

If you want to see Forever at its most different from Classic, roll a Skyborne. Zephras Isle is a brand-new zone with its own story, so it’s the fastest route to content that simply didn’t exist before.

What’s Worth Recording

Official announcements already cover the headline numbers — new dungeons, new zones, and so on. What they don’t cover is what you only find by actually playing: exact quest text, drop rates, vendor inventories, profession recipes, talent tuning, dungeon mechanics. That’s the stuff that actually helps other players.

Reporting Bugs

A useful bug report answers four things: what happened, where (zone, quest, dungeon, NPC), what you were doing when it happened, and what you expected instead. Screenshots or video help more than description alone.

Three Things Not to Assume

– **Beta numbers are final.** Balance, drop rates, recipes and talents can all change before launch.

– **Datamined content is confirmed.** It isn’t, until Blizzard says so.

– **Classic behavior carries over.** Forever changes enough systems that old assumptions won’t always hold.

The point of the beta isn’t just deciding whether Forever is good — it’s to find out what WoW Forever actually is.
